Description: D'Alton Holder is one of the great masters of collectable hunting knives. As you would expect, the fit and finish is exceptional. This hunter is a beautiful example of Holder's work! It was kept in a private collection since it was made and has never been used. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The mirror polished blade is made from ATS-34 stainless steel. ATS-34 maintains a great edge but is easy to sharp and has a high corrosion resistance. It is hollow ground for easy maintenance. D'holder's Phoenix, AZ mark is featured on the right side of the blade. The spine has been nicely rounded for comfort.
The handle is formed from myrtle burl. Ancient oosic spacers surround an amber at the front of the handle. Thin nickel silver and red fiber spacers help the handle adjust to humidity and temperature changes.
To keep the knife close at hand, a tooled leather sheath is included.
This is a really beatiful hunter. It would be a great knife for use out in the field, yet it will feel at home in virtually any collection of high end knives. Excellent work throughout!
