Blade: Ladder pattern damascus forged from carbon steels
Handle: Stag
Description: This elegant damascus EDC Pocket Medicine knife was forged by Mastersmith Ray Kirk of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Ray makes an elegant knife, with excellent fit and finish often at a very affordable price! This Pocket Medicine fixed blade was kept in a single private collection since it was made. It is in new condition. By all appearances, Ray could have made it yesterday!
The 3 inch drop point blade is made from Ray's own Ladder damascus forged from carbon steels. The bold pattern is immedietly captivating and will have excellent edge retention. Because this knife is made from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to oil the blade and natural stag handle. Ray's maker mark is on the left side of the ricasso and M.S. is stamped on the right side. Pocket Medicine and Ray's Cherokee Tribe registration number is on the right side of the blade.
The handle is formed from stag scales set to the full tang using three textured pins. The handle fills the hand well and the naturally textured stag gives plenty of grip. The distal tapered blade and tang provides perfect balance in hand.
Excellent work throughout!
