Description: Enrique Pena from Laredo, TX has been making fine custom knives since 2006. He builds high quality folders both modern and traditional, including flippers, slipjoints, and lockback folders. He learned to make traditional style knives from reknowned knifemakers Bill Ruple and Rusty Preston. Enrique's knives are designed to be used and carried, but could easily be the gem of any collection!
This Large Slip Joint Trapper is perfect for daily carry. The hand rubbed satin finished blade is premium CPM-154 stainless steel. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The blade is perfectly centered with smooth, consistent action and a firm half stop.
Amber jigged bone handle scales are set between 416 stainless steel front and rear bolsters. Showing tremendous skill, the bolsters and frame are one solid piece of steel. The left scale is inlaid with a arrowhead-shaped stainless steel escutcheon. Scales are set in place with hand domed stainless steel pins.
Excellent work throughout!
