Description: This elegant Sleeveboard Slipjoint was hand built by Illinois bladesmith Rick Nowland. Rick specializes in slip joint folders and is a force to be reckoned with.
The premium CPM-154 stainless steel blade ensures a keen, long lasting edge. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. It is easily opened using the right-handed thumb nick. The well-centered blade has consistent action with a well timed half stop.
Presentation grade mammoth ivory handle scales are set between front and rear 416 stainless steel bolsters. The ivory combines cream and dark brown tones with very rare blue tones. Colors developed in the ancient ivory as minerals moved into the buried ivory across thousands of years. For increased strength and durability, the bolsters are integral to the liners.
Excellent work throughout.
