Description: Arno Bernard Sr. is a maker from South Africa and has been making knives for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) for over 20 years. Living in South Africa has allowed him the luxury of using many different exotic handle materials -- some even collected himself.
The blade is hand ground stainless damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. This high performing damascus is created using powder metallurgical steel manufacturing to provide excellent edge retention and unmatched beauty. The high contrast pattern is immediately captivating.
The handle is stabilized mammoth molar, set to the full tang for strength and durability. The ancient tooth is extremely dramatic and the scales are nicely matched with each other. From skinning, to field processing, to cooking around the campsite, this knife has you covered!
To keep the knife close at hand, a pouch style leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
