Description: D'Alton Holder is one of the great masters of collectable hunting knives. As you would expect, the fit and finish is exceptional. This Pocket Hunter was built by D'Alton in 2008. It was a limited run of 40 knives that were built for the Kentucky Cutlery Association. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. It has been meticulously cared for and by all appearances, D'Holder could have made it yesterday.
The mirror polished blade is hand ground ATS-34 stainless steel. ATS-34 maintains a great edge, but is easy to sharpen and has high corrosion resistance. It is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. D'Holder's Peoria, AZ mark is featured on the right side. The KCA logo and individual number (15 of 40) is on the left.
Handle scales are whitelip mother of pearl, set on the full tang using stainless steel pins.
To keep the knife close at hand, a tooled brown leather sheath is included.
An exceptional piece that is sure to become a family heirloom!
