Description: This Workhorse folder is the work of Arkansas knifemaker Bob Dozier. Dozier's current wait list is a bit over three years. Bob has always enjoyed focusing his work around the high performance hunting knife and working folders. This knife has been in a private collection since it was made in the early 2000s. Though Dozier knives are currently made by Dan Crotts, this knife was made by Dozier, himself. Although the knife has never been cut with, there are a couple of very small dings on the chamfers of the handle from storage.
The 4.2 inch blade is D2 semi-stainless steel. It is hollow ground for an easy-to-maintain edge. D2 is known for its ability to hold an exceptional edge while requiring just a little bit of additional care. To prevent rusting, it is important to dry the blade completely after use. When open, a small built in guard prevents your hand from sliding over the blade.
The blade rotates out on phosphorous bronze washers using the textured right-handed thumbstud. The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth, firm action with a solid lockup.
The handle is bead blasted titanium. It feels sturdy and features a hidden inlaid lock (Dozier's renowned Tab Stop Lock). A lanyard can be added to the rear of the handle for extra retention if desired. The satin finished titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-down carry.
Excellent work throughout!
