Description: This Tomahawk is a rare collaboration from Mastersmith David Lisch and Mastersmith Michael Rader. This collaboration between these two Washington Mastersmiths is among the most impressive Tomahawks I have ever seen. It was kept in a private collection since it was made. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday!
The head of the tomahawk was hand forged by Mastersmith David Lisch during a blacksmith convention. The san mai blade combined carbon steels to ensure excellent edge holding. The damascus cutting is heat blued for a dramatic appearance. The head measures 9-1/2 inches from cutting edge to the back of the spike. The cutting edge is 3.1 inches long. We recommend using camelia oil to protect the blade from rust.
The handle, built by Mastersmith Michael Rader, is just as dramatic as the head. The 16-1/2 inch haft combines premium curly maple with a Hawaiian curly koa end cap. The tomahawk is perfectly weighted for throwing and chopping. This unqiue collaboration is sure to become a family heirloom!
Excellent work throughout!
