Description: Richard Soler is a talented knifemaker from Auriol, France. He specializes in high performance front flippers. The influence of his good friend and fellow maker Guy Pogetti can clearly be seen in his work. Richard's knives are exceptional, and we are excited to showcase it here in the United States where his work is rarely available.
The RWL-34 stainless steel blade is stonewash finished in the grinds and satin finished in the flats. RWL-34 is a premium powder metallurgy cutlery steel manufactured by Damasteel in Söderfors, Sweden. Because it is made from rapidly solidified powders, the microstructure of the steel is much more uniform. This gives the steel much higher strength and resistance to cracks and chips. Jimping on the spine provides an excellent thumb purchase.
Honey colored burlap Micarta scales are set on bead blasted titanium liners. The titanium bolsters are also bead blasted and meet with the Micarta scales in an elegant curve. A marble carbon fiber backbark keeps the knife light and strong. A lanyard can be added to the back of the knife if desired. The knife is easy to keep close at hand with the bead blasted titanium pocket clip mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
