Description: Arno Bernard Sr. is a maker from South Africa and has been making knives for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) for over 20 years. Living in South Africa has allowed him the luxury of using many different exotic handle materials -- some even collected himself.
This Field Knife is hand ground Bohler N690 stainless steel. N690 takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds onto it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. Arno began this knife with thicker (.2 inches) stock so it can be used for heavier duty tasks while out in the field.
Stabilized bog oak handle scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. The scales are contoured by hand and fill your hand for a comfortable grip. From skinning to field processing, to cooking around the campsite, this knife has you covered!
To keep the knife close at hand, a pouch style leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
