Description: This knife is the work of Gary Mosser of Kirkland, Washington. Gary was a retired Boeing engineer before becoming a full time knifemaker for a short time. His attention to small details shines through on this elegant hunter. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances, Gary could have made it yesterday!
The upswept blade is stainless steel with a meticulous polished finish. This knife was likely made between 2000 and 2005 and likely would have been 154CM or ATS-34 stainless steel. The hollow grind makes this a very efficient slicer whether dressing game or preparing food at the camp site. Gary's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is stabilized maple burl, sculpted with finger grooves to provide a comfortable, non-slip grip. The handle feels great in both larger and smaller hands. Fiber spacers set between the guard and handle will help the natural wood adjust to humidity and temperature changes. The handle is finished with a polished brass guard.
A pouch style black leather custom sheath is included to keep the knife close at hand.
Excellent work throughout!
