Description: In 2005 the MKA board selected this design Montana Knifemakers Association club knife. Accordingly, Larry made 20 knives of this pattern combination of materials. This is #13 of 20 that were made. The knife has been a knifemaker's private collection and has been meticulously cared for. It is in new condition.
Larry makes an exceptional hunter. The ATS-34 stainless steel blade was mirror polished and hollow ground. The blade was brought to HRC 59 to assure a keen, long lasting edge. Ironwood scales are dovetailed between front and rear bolsters. The handle is finished off with mosaic pins. Both the full tang and the blade have been distal tapered, assuring a perfect balance. The fit and finish, along with the fileworked spine and tang, make this a knife that will feel at home in a collection but is sturdy enough for use out in the field.
