Description: This drop point hunter by Steve Kelly is a great knife in the hand. The blade was hand forged from 52100 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment assures a keen, long lasting edge with a supportive spine. Many knifemakers and collectors feel that 52100, popularized by Mastersmith Ed Fowler, is among the best, if not the best steel currently used for knives. 416 stainless steel bolsters are dovetailed to a stabilized myrtle burl handle for a perfect fit. The burl has a very tight, convoluted grain pattern. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
