Description: Jim's knives are as sturdy as they are elegant and this exceptional hunter is among his best to date. A hunter himself, as well as a backwoodsman, his knives have been heavily tested in the field over the years yet are dramatic enough for any collection.
The long, recurve blade is forged into a highly complex Damascus pattern. Jim combined 1084, L6 and 1070 carbon steels along with pure METEORITE to form this complex steel that required over 11 separate manipulations to make. The Damascus mixes bold ribbons that are apparent from a distance as well as detailed figures that only become clear with a close inspection.
The handle is formed from fossil oosic surrounded by thick Damascus spacers. The spacers are formed from Lace pattern Damascus forged from 1084 and L6 carbon steels. Black and white fiber spacers allow the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The guard and pommel are formed from Damascus matching the blade. The fit and finish is exceptional. Numbered 124.
