Description: This straight spine utility knife by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. The blade was forged to shape from 1084 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment results in a soft, supportive spine with a keen, long lasting edge. Ray hand satin finished the blade.
The wrought iron for the fittings were forged from an 1800s era anchor chain and surround a curly maple handle. By sculpting the curly maple to swell at the center of the handle, Raymond assures a very comfortable, secure hand-hold. The butt is finished off with a wrought iron butt cap. Accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
