Description: The Beetle Flipper is a new design from Grant and Gavin Hawk. It features the IKBS ball bearing pivot, which makes the action extremely smooth and the flipping motion incredibly fast. The mechanism is easy to use for both right and left handed users.
The blade is formed from stainless damascus forged by Devin Thomas. He calls this pattern Herringbone damascus. The blade will have exceptional edge holding and is very dramatic.
High tech scales are machined from extremely rare lightning strike carbon fiber and flame anodized titanium. Copper strands move through the woven carbon fiber. This type of carbon fiber was originally designed for use on fighter jets to redirect electricity. Lightning strike carbon fiber is among the hardest to find of knifemaking materials. When the flipper is pressed, the lower section of the frame moves back and forward in a unique motion controlled by a silicone rubber bungee. This is clearly a design that could have only been created by the Hawks' genius!
A high tech pocket clip keeps the knife close at hand. It is mounted for tip down carry and can be moved to either side (for right or left handed use). Fantastic fit and finish throughout with a razor sharp edge. Serial number 46.
