Description: This boot knife was made by George Beechey. George passed away in July of 2006, only two years after he emigrated to Australia to join his children. George was well known for his attention to detail and his enthusiasm for working with his hands. This knife has been in a private collection. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday!
The dagger-ground blade was formed from 440 stainless steel. The blade is mirror polished on the flats and satin finished in the grinds.
303 stainless steel bolsters meet perfectly with African blackwood handles. The blackwood is nicely carved. The bolsters were hand engraved in scroll. The knife is accompanied by a buffalo leather sheath. Exceptional work throughout.
