Description: This is an excellent example of Gib Guignard's work. Before Gib deceased in 2006, he had gained a significant reputation among Black Powder/ Buckskinner / Cowboy era circles. He subscribed to the Neo Tribal way of thinking -- creating most of his knives without the use of motorized tools. This knife was made in 2003 and is in mint condition.
Gib is well known for his rustic finish -- completing the knife like it came form the forge. The bevels are ground, giving the knife blade a high contrast two-tone look. This creates an antique appearance and appeals to the Black Powder/ Buckskinner / Cowboy era person.
This Rustic Bowie features a long 10" carbon steel blade forged to shape from 5160 steel. This meets up well with the brass guard. A presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood handle provides a comfortable, secure grip that highlights the quality of Gib's work.
