Description: "Bob Sky" Robert Hajovsky has passed away, but we have a very unique piece in his sub hilt tanto. This knife has been in a private collection and has been meticulously cared for. There are no signs of wear and it does not appear to have been used to cut.
The blade is just shy of 8-1/2 inches, and is mirror polished. It is hollow ground in the primary grind, with a raised hollow ground top swedge. The swedge is fully sharpened, lending credence to its name, the Razorback Tanto.
The handle is black Micarta, and incorporates a subhilt, as well as filed grooves in the Micarta ensuring a non-slip grip. Hilt, subhilt, and pommel are all mirror polished nickel silver. This piece is accompanied by a black, double stitched leather sheath. Bob Sky's pieces are somewhat difficult to find, and an opportunity to procure a unique piece such as this does not come around often.
