Description: South African knifemaker André Thorburn creates an exceptional folder. The blade is silky smooth -- easily opened with one hand using the thumbstud.
The N690 stainless blade is meticulously hand satin finished in the grinds and mirror polished on the flats. N690 is a super-steel created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds it. The increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping, and the blade has been hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge.
The beautiful pecan burl scales meet up with 303 stainless steel bolsters that are finely and elegantly hand textured, providing a steadfast grip that is also very unique. The handle is completed with blue anodized titanium liners that elegantly contrast against the wood scales. The liners are intricately vine fileworked. The titanium pocket clip is similarly anodized and is mounted for tip-up carry.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
