Description: This NDN Raven is an integral style knife that was forged by Ray Kirk of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, a Master Smith in the American Bladesmith Society and a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. The NDN is a series of knives featuring integral bolsters hand forged from 52100 steel.
The blade was forged to shape from a round bar of 52100, a high carbon steel of extreme high quality. 52100 ensures exceptional edge holding and durability. Both the spine and choil are nicely rounded for comfort.
Carved ebony scales are meticulously fit to the distal tapered full tang. The 'Coke bottle' style handle swells at the palm, moves into a slimmer waist and again swells at the back. It is completed with stainless steel hidden bolt rivets.
The handmade, high quality leather sheath was created by Mike Stott of Tahlequah, OK. The sheath has been designed to safely contain the blade until it is ready to use.
The blade is marked with Mastersmith Ray Kirk's mark “RakeR” with “MS” directly below for master smith. Every effort has been made by Ray to ensure excellence in this dramatic integral utility knife. Exceptional work throughout!
