Description: This dramatic integral damascus knife was forged by Mastersmith Ray Kirk of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
The blade was forged to shape from a round bar of damascus formed from 52100 and 15N20 carbon steels. The pattern is a stretched W's pattern. The blade is distal tapered and differentially heat treated, for a keen, long lasting edge. The left size is marked with “RakeR” with the “MS” mark directly below.
A diagonally cut section of California myrtle wood forms the handle. It was stabilized by one of the best stabilizers in the business -- K&G of Lakeside, AZ. The handle swells at the palm for a secure, comfortable grip. The knife is accompanied by a pouch style leather sheath by Mike Stott of Tahlequah, OK. The sheath has been designed to safely contain the blade until it is ready to use.
Exceptional work throughout!
