Description: This long hunter by Raymond Richard has an old world grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. A Scandinavian influence is clearly visible in this knife, though Ray's own style also shines through. It is both good-looking and highly capable. The blade is forged from 5160 carbon steel, an extremely tough steel with very good edge holding. A differential heat treatment of the blade ensures a great combination of hardness and toughness.
The handle is formed from presentation grade curly maple. It is sculpted to fill the palm comfortably - you won't want to put it down! The wood has very tight curls and chatoyancy. The handle is completed with antiqued hammer finished bronze fittings.
Long Puukko with Curly Maple is accompanied by a hand stitched, wet formed two ply cowhide sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
