Description: This masterpiece by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives. The large blade (measuring 9-1/2 inches) was forged to shape from 5160 carbon steel. The hand satin finished blade is antiqued and has a clear differential heat treatment line, ensuring that the spine is soft and resilient, whereas the edge is hard and will stay sharp.
The wrought iron for the S-guard was forged from an 1850s era wagon wheel and antiqued for an heirloom appearance. Jet black ebony wood is carved into a comfortable, secure grip. Front and rear spacers were carved from stabilized ancient walrus bone.
The knife is accompanied by a hand tooled, hand stitched leather sheath. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
