Description: Dean Ellis creates an exceptional knife. Beginning with 52100 round bar, he hand forged this enticing hunter with an integral guard. This technique shows tremendous skill and creates a knife with exceptional integrity.
The blade is differentially heat treated resulting in a very long lasting edge with great durability. The deer bone handle fits nicely to the integral bolster -- joined in an elegant arch. The backbar is fileworked in a vine pattern.
Given the level of work on this integral hunter, it is no surprise that it won Best New Knifemaker at the 2012 OKCA show. Captivating for the eye and comfortable in the hand. Excellent work throughout!
