Description: This Willem Steenkamp custom Tarpon EDC liner lock is a front flipper design and a fantastic EDC folder. The clip point blade and ergonomic handle are perfectly designed for the task at hand.
Willem was accepted as a member of the Knifemakers’ Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) in May of 2007. His attention to detail is clearly evident in his knives.
The 3-1/3 inch blade is made from N690 stainless steel hardened to 59HRC with a hand rubbed satin finish. N690 is created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds on to it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. The action is silky-smooth and the blade is nicely centered.
The scales are formed from stacked camo G10. They are 3D machined for tremendous ergos. The compact front flipper is easy to use and does not get caught on things while kept in the pocket. The pierced, anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for tip-up carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
