Description: The Cryo II is the result of collaboration between Rick Hinderer and the design and production engineers at Kershaw. The original Cryo (model 1555TI) was selected as a Blade Show “Best Buy” and was chosen as Men’s Journal Approved Gear.
The 1556TI Cryo II features a 3-1/4 inch blade made from 8cr13MoV stainless steel with a matte grey titanium carbo-nitride coating. The coating offers excellent abrasion resistance and reduces friction on moving parts. This means the Cryo II not only looks great, but operates smoothly as well. A long swedge enhances its good looks.
The Cryo II is fully equipped with SpeedSafe for one-handed assisted opening. Even wearing gloves, you can easily deploy the blade using the large, ambidextrous thumb stud or flipper.
The handle is made from 410 stainless steel with a sturdy frame lock to securely lock the blade open during use. A Hinderer lockbar stabilizer ensures the lock doesn’t over-extend. To maximize carry flexibility, the Cryo II includes a four-position deep-carry pocket clip for left or right-handed tip-up and tip-down carry. A tube is also included if a lanyard setup is wanted.
