Description: The Spartan Harsey Hunter is Spartan Blade's second collaboration with world renowned knife maker, William "Bill" Harsey. The combined goal was to make a knife that would serve double duty by providing service as a combat knife and as a hunting knife. The blade profile, top bevels and hollow grind of this full tang knife work well on either the battlefield or cleaning a trophy buck. The result is a knife that a service member could carry in combat and use after returning from war when camping and hunting.
The spearpoint blade has a tapered top edge that provides for an excellent cutting edge with good tip strength and penetration balance. The blade is made from American made CPM-S35VN with a dark earth PVD ZrN coating. This fine-grained powdered metallurgical (PM) steel is tough, chip resistant and can be sharpened to a razor edge. Deep jimping provides a very comfortable thumb purchase.
The Harsey Hunter's full tang and handle provides a neutral balance in the user's hand. The ergonomic and textured canvas Micarta handle provides for a comfortable, confident grip when wet or dry. Front and rear jimping provide a multitude of different grip options.
The knife is accompanied by a nylon lanyard and a black nylon sheath to keep the knife close at hand.
