Description: Charles Stout became a mastersmith at the 2007 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. It is clear from his precision work that he well deserved the honor.
The blade was forged to shape from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The pattern is one that Charles calls Prairie Fire. Swirling flames are surrounded by twisting wind..
The handle is formed by presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood. The tight, swirling grain pattern has warm brown tones that are nicely complemented by the nickel silver guard, mosaic pin and spacers. The spacers make this one of the most unique and pleasing knives that I have seen in some time -- lending both visual interest and a great feel in the hand.
Fit and finish befitting a master!
