Description: Wave is a tribute by Jeff Driscoll to Montana knifemaker James Luman. Jim brought an amazing amount of skill to his steel and inspired many knifemakers.
Jeff built this knife to resemble Jim's knives … beginning with a blade that was forged by Jim. The pool and eye damascus shows off Luman's skill at the forge. It is highly controlled with a deep, clear etch. The bold pattern immediately grabs your attention and sparked Jeff's imagination for this knife.
The super-sharp blade moves into a brass guard that protects your fingers and provides an excellent feeling of control. It brings the balance to a perfect 50/50 balance point.
A malachite spacer with indexed fine silver and black fiber washers assists the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The stag handle has a slight downturn and is very comfortable. The left side features pin decoration combining brass, copper and stainless pins.
Driscoll completed the wave theme with a carved brass wave on the brass pommel. Waves also decorate the sewn and riveted Luman-style sheath.
