Description: Award winning Swedish bladesmith Henry Hildén held nothing back when he created this elegant folding knife.
Hilden forged the blade to shape. Henry used a Japanese technique known as san mai. A 20C carbon steel core is surrounded by mosaic damascus forged from nickel, 15N20, and 1770 carbon steels. The dramatic, high contrast blade combines exceptional detail with high performance. The patterns are extremely clear, showing tremendous control and skill. The well centered blade is easily opened using silver 'dots' inlaid into the blade.
Ancient mammoth molar scales are surrounded by front and rear bolsters forged by Henry from pure nickel and iron. The resulting mosaic damascus has excellent contrast. Bolsters and molar scales are set on fully fileworked liners. The interior has been mirror polished. The backbar has also been fully fileworked.
Exceptional work throughout.
